The Hyundai DHY8000SELR is the long-running version of the DHY8000SE, featuring a large 25L diesel fuel tank to deliver up to 30 hours of reliable backup power at 50% load. Designed specifically for standby use, it's the ideal solution for homes and businesses looking to stay powered during unexpected outages.
Powered by a dependable 4-stroke, air-cooled D452 Hyundai diesel engine, this generator produces a maximum output of 5.8kW and a continuous output of 5.5kW. It’s fitted with an AVR alternator for delivering clean, stable electricity—safely powering sensitive equipment such as computers and appliances.
This is an electric start diesel generator, with simple key-turn ignition making manual control quick and hassle-free. It's also ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch) compatible, so it can start automatically when mains power fails and shut off once it’s restored—ideal for ensuring uninterrupted operation whether you're at home or away.
Housed in a silenced canopy, the DHY8000SELR is built to run quietly, operating at just 70dB @ 7 metres—comparable to a normal conversation—making it suitable for use in residential and commercial environments where noise must be kept to a minimum.
Economical to operate, this generator consumes around 1 litre of diesel per hour, and is compatible with red diesel, offering significant savings on long run times. It’s a cost-effective backup power source without compromising on performance.
