The Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM technology) battery range is excellent for high current discharge applications such as inverters, thrusters, and winches due to its very low internal resistance. These sealed batteries use Absorbed Glass Mat technology, where the electrolyte is integrated into the glass fibre, preventing it from flowing. This technology makes them easier to transport and handle. AGM batteries are also frost-resistant since they contain no liquid, and they are more shock and vibration-resistant than traditional batteries.
The GEL battery range is ideal for deep cycle use, offering superior durability and a longer lifespan. Both AGM and GEL batteries use high purity materials and lead-calcium grids, which result in very low self-discharge rates. This means they won’t lose charge quickly, even if left unused for extended periods. Both types come with M8 flat copper terminals, ensuring excellent connection contact without the need for additional battery terminals.
