The Small C&I Hybrid Energy Storage System, featuring Fox ESS Fox ESS H3 PRO 3-Phase 20.0kW Inverter, 28/47kWh EC4800-2H (2x Master + up to 8x Slave) Battery, and (Optional) up to 30.0kW Solar Panels (Hybrid ESS), is a comprehensive energy management solution. The system includes:

  • 1x Fox ESS H3 PRO 3-Phase 20.0kW Hybrid Inverter,
  • 1x Fox 3PH CT Meter,
  • 2 battery stacks each with 3x / 5x Fox ESS EC4800 4.74kWh High Voltage Battery Stack (including 1xECM4800 (Master) and 2x / 4x ECS4800 (Slave) Batteries), and 
  • (Optional) up to 30.0kW Solar Panels.

  • FOX ESS EC4800 4.74KWH HV BATTERY is a high-performance, scalable battery storage module. The modular design allows for maximum flexibility with storage. Additional batteries can be installed in series, allowing a maximum storage capacity of 42.66kWh in each stack. Installation is easy, with a plug-and-play solution that can save valuable time for installers. The batteries have a 98% charge/discharge efficiency and 90% depth of discharge. The batteries have a cycle life of over 6000 cycles.

  • FOX ESS H3 PRO 3-Phase 20.0kW HYBRID INVERTER is a high-quality inverter which converts energy stored in a battery to 3-phase AC energy. The inverter can be used to optimise energy consumption, store energy in the battery for future use or feed energy into the energy grid. System advantages:

  • FOX ESS H3 PRO 3-Phase 20.0kW HYBRID INVERTER has five work modes:
    • Self-use (with PV power): Priority: load>battery>grid.
      The energy produced by the PV system is used to optimize self-consumption. The excess energy is used to charge the batteries, then exported to gird.
    • Self-use (without PV power): When no PV is supplied, the battery will discharge for local loads first. Battery will
      charge when excess generation from other generation sources is detected.
    • Feed in priority: Priority: load>grid>battery. In the case of the external generator, the power generated will be used to supply the local loads firstly, then export to the public grid. The redundant power will charge the battery.
    • Back up (EPS) mode: When the grid is off, system will supply emergency power from PV or battery to
      supply the home loads (Battery is necessary in EPS mode).
    • Peak Shaving mode: The system can be set to provide a peak shaving function. A Peak Shaving limit must be set by adjusting “Import Limit” to the desired value. We can increase the peak shaving support uptime by setting the “Threshold SOC”. When the battery is above the “Threshold SOC” the system will work in “Self-Use mode. When the battery is below the “Threshold SOC” the peak shaving function will be the priority and the system will only provide power from the battery when the “Import Limit” is exceeded. When below the “Threshold SOC” the system will charge from the grid when there is available power without exceeding the “Import Limit”. This is to ensure prolonged Peak Shaving support for extended periods. If the “Import Limit” is exceeded constantly for an extended period of time, the peak shaving function can only guarantee successful operation while energy remains within the battery. If the battery designated “low level” is reached, the peak shaving function will cease.
    • NOTICE: Charging time is when the battery is charged within the set time range. The setting of charging time can be used in the above work modes. The charging period is mainly used to set the charging time from the power grid to the battery. The PV can also charge the battery when there is sufficient PV outside of charging time.
  • FOX ESS HYBRID ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEM can work with Octopus tariffs, including the Agile Octopus tariff. The system is designed to integrate seamlessly with smart energy tariffs, allowing it to automatically manage energy usage based on the varying rates offered by Octopus Energy. This includes charging the battery during low-cost periods and potentially discharging during high-cost periods to maximize savings. With the appropriate setup, the Fox ESS system can utilize real-time tariff data to optimize charging and discharging schedules, making it a suitable choice for users looking to take advantage of dynamic pricing models With solar panels and the battery storage system, your electric unit price can be drastically reduced!
