Q1: How do I set up the in-grid UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply)? 1. For non-solar-powered household circuits:
A certified electrician must install the system and connect your critical equipment to the BLUETTI UPS BOX. This setup will automatically switch to the EP500PRO when the power fails. The connection is: power grid → home main circuit → BLUETTI UPS box → EP500PRO → critical equipment (e.g. refrigerator, lights, server).

2. For solar-powered UPS:
  • If the solar panel voltage is within the EP500PRO's input range, connect directly via the MC4 port connectors.
  • If the voltage exceeds the EP500PRO's limit, use a "PV step-down module" to reduce the voltage before connection. The connection is: solar panels → PV step-down module → EP500PRO → critical equipment.
Q2: Why is there a power limitation for the US version of the EP500PRO in mobile UPS mode? When plugged into a home wall outlet, the power output is limited by the wall plug's current.

Q3: What is the UPS switching time?

There are two options.

  • No delay for online UPS.
  • 20ms delay for standby UPS.
Q4: What is the power loss in different states?
  • In standby state: <10W
  • AC_ON & DC_OFF: <20W
  • AC-ON & DC_ON: <25W
Q5: What capacity remains after 6000 battery cycles? The EP500PRO maintains above 50% capacity after 6000 cycles.

Q6: What is the frequency setting?
  • 60Hz: USA, Canada
  • 50Hz: Europe, UK, Australia
  • Frequency 50/60Hz cannot be switched.
Q7: What if my solar panels exceed the open circuit voltage requirement? Use a BLUETTI PV Voltage Drop Module to reduce the voltage without altering the original installation.

Q8: Can I use a third-party solar panels?

Yes, but they must meet these conditions:

  • Open Circuit Voltage(OCV): Dual MPPT, each 35-150V/Max.12A,1200W Max. (2400W Max. for dual connection).
  • Suitable MC4 connector.
  • It is recommended to use solar panels of the same brand.
Q9: Are there any restrictions on the 100W USB-C port? It will charge at 60W if the USB-C cable lacks 5A MFI certification.

Q10: Can other DC ports be used when the 12V/30A is active? No, only the 12V/30A RV port will work. Cover the rubber plug when the port is idle to avoid short circuits.

Q11: What are the output power restrictions of the Split Phase Bonding Function?

  • Only one AC port marked 4000W/220-240 (or 6000W/220-240) can power high-voltage devices. Other AC ports can load up to 3000W on the EP500PRO.

  • Total load power of all AC ports should not exceed 6000W for the EP500PRO.


Q12: Does the Split Phase Bonding Function work if one EP500PRO runs out of power? No, the high-voltage output will stop. The remaining powered unit must be set to "Single Phase" mode.

Q13: Can the Split Phase Bonding Function apply to one EP500PRO? No, it is only for two units of the same model and specifications, e.g., two EP500PROs. The Split Phase Fusion Boxes also vary.
