Daikin Air-to-Air Heating & Cooling and Hot Water Heat Pump System for 2-Bedroom Houses, Bungalows

The All-in-one Daikin Multi+ Air-to-Air and Air-to-Water Heat Hump System is a combination of one Daikin Multi+ Outdoor Unit, 3 Indoor Units, and one 120L Domestic Hot Water (DHW) Tank for 2-bedroom houses and bungalows up to 75 sq meters. We offer a few options of the indoor units to give an opportunity to select one which meets the user's needs (other indoor units are available on request).

The system consists of the following elements:

• 1 x Daikin 4MWXM52A Outdoor Unit - 6.8kW of heating and 5.2kW of cooling in total,
• 3 x Daikin Perfera All Seasons Wall Mounted Indoor Units of various capacities, and
• 1 x Daikin EKHWETU120BV3 120 litre DHW Tank.
  

Daikin Multi+ is a system designed by Daikin to cool, heat, and produce domestic hot water in an all-in-one solution. Simple yet revolutionary, Daikin Multi+ is an efficient multi-split air conditioning system integrated with a domestic hot water tank, allowing the heat pump to produce hot water most of the time, maximising efficiency and delivering significant energy and cost savings.

Ideal for new construction or replacing old inefficient and expensive electric water heating and DHW systems, Daikin Multi+ adapts perfectly to the needs of small to medium families, allowing you to cool and heat up to three rooms and produce domestic hot water in a heat pump, saving on the bill and improving the comfort of the whole family.

Please note the Daikin Air-to-Air Heating & Cooling and Hot Water Heat Pump System must be installed by an FGAS certified installer in accordance with the FGAS Regulations.

Main Components

OUTDOOR UNIT

• The Daikin 4MWXM52A outdoor unit is the core of this all-in-one system. With its inverter and heat pump technology, combined with the use of R32 refrigerant, which has a low environmental impact, it delivers advanced technology, high efficiency, and reduced energy consumption. The Multi+ outdoor unit provides the significant advantage of air conditioning multiple rooms with a single outdoor unit. Additionally, its capability to connect to a hot water boiler saves both space and energy, while ensuring that all indoor units remain independently controlled.
• The 4MWXM52A outdoor unit, featuring a swing-type hermetic compressor, ensures maximum efficiency by continuously adjusting power output to meet the user's needs. This significantly reduces the frequency of stops and starts, lowering energy consumption by up to 30% and maintaining more stable temperatures. The 4MWXM52A achieves top energy efficiency ratings: Class A+++ for air cooling, Class A++ for air heating, and Class A for water heating.

INDOOR UNITS

• The wall-mounted indoor units are DAIKIN Perfera All Seasons air conditioners, distinguished by their modern design with clean, angular lines and no curves, reducing their perceived depth. With their contemporary aesthetic, Perfera indoor units seamlessly complement any setting, adding a touch of style. They are ideal for installation in homes, commercial spaces, offices, and even hotels. The purity of the air is guaranteed by the particular filters and the Flash Streamer system which eliminates viruses, bacteria and allergens thanks to the generation of a flow of high-speed electrons as well as a wider fin which tends to improve the air flow. 
• The exclusive Wi-Fi technology allows you to manage, via the new Daikin Residential Controller App that can be installed on a smartphone or PC, the main functions of your air conditioner even when you are away from home (Wi-Fi network required to connect the unit to the internet) . Furthermore, thanks to the smart speaker it is possible to connect it to Amazon Alexa and Google Home voice devices. The silence of the internal unit of only 19 dB(A) at low ventilation speed contributes to obtaining excellent and long-lasting relaxation. 

120L DHW TANK

• The EKHWETU120BV3 DHW tank, together with the outdoor unit, is the main component of Daikin Multi+ . Steel structure and hot-dip galvanised sheet metal cladding with anti-corrosion treatment guarantee maximum durability of this boiler. The tank is ideal for the domestic hot water needs of a family of 2-4 people. The tank is equipped with an intuitive interface that allows you to make all settings for the configuration and daily use of the system. The full-text display and simplified preset modes make it easy to use even for less experienced users. By adding the optional WLAN card to the interface it will also be possible to manage and monitor the tank remotely via the Daikin Onecta App, the same one that allows you to manage compatible air conditioners from your smartphone or tablet, wherever you are. Onecta is also compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
• With 4MWXM52A outdoor unit the production of domestic hot water can take place according to 3 different modes which exploit the combined action of the heat pump and, possibly, of the additional resistance:
  • Efficient Mode: best mode to optimise power consumption,
  • Quick Mode: The target water temperature is reached 30% faster than in Efficient mode,

  • Powerful Mode: The target water temperature is reached 50% faster than in Efficient mode by activating the integrated electric resistance, though this mode consumes more energy.

• The system can provide both space heating and domestic hot water simultaneously during the winter. However, in the summer, space cooling and water heating cannot be performed at the same time.Therefore, for daily water heating, it is best to program the unit to start early in the morning or when everyone is away from home. Since the domestic water is heated according to the set schedule, the outdoor unit can switch to Cooling mode as soon as an air conditioner is activated.
• In the event of a greater need for hot water, simply activate the Powerful function to make the water reach the desired temperature 50% faster than the Efficient mode. The water will be heated using the electric resistance integrated in the tank, while simultaneously allowing the cooling function of the connected air conditioners to operate.
• In the Heating mode , it will be possible to heat both water and rooms simultaneously in a convenient way via the heat pump alone.
